Case report: Using a laser to lengthen an open crown
In this case, a 73-year-old woman needed to decide between an implant that would replace tooth #4 or a fixed partial bridge for teeth #3 and #5 with a pontic #4. The patient's general dentist used a laser for the procedure rather than a scalpel and handpiece with burs, reducing the treatment time, as Dr. Joshua Weintraub describes in this report.
