A woman in New York was arrested for allegedly operating an illegal dental business from a home without a license, and this may not have been her only location, according to multiple news articles published on March 14.
Yolany Mejia Carranza, 55, was arrested on March 13 for allegedly performing illegal dental work at a home in Bay Shore, NY. Previously, Carranza may have had another illegal business at a location in Huntington Station, NY, according to the articles.
Carranza was charged with three counts of unauthorized practice of a profession. She was being held in police custody awaiting arraignment, according to the stories. Police are continuing to investigate.
