Dental accessories manufacturer Microbrush International has introduced Reflective DryTips. The company's newest moisture-control product is designed to provide saliva absorbency and not lose moisture when handled. It also aids in cheek retraction and provides complete coverage of the parotid gland and buccal mucosa, according to the company.
OraCoat releases new version of XyliGel
Dental products company OraCoat has released a new version of XyliGel, a gel designed to provide relief from xerostomia symptoms. The product contains 17% xylitol and can be used during the day and night, according to the company.

Carestream Dental introduces workflow system
Carestream Dental has introduced its CS Solutions for Implants workflow system, offering the combination of state-of-the-art 3D technology and prosthetic-driven implant planning, according to the company. Data from a digital impression and a cone-beam CT scan are aligned automatically using CS 3D Imaging software. Then, using the prosthetic-driven implant planning module, practitioners can virtually plan the crown and implant on the same screen.
Futudent launches new camera
Futudent has released a new multimount, high-definition dental camera called EduCam that captures both still and video images from outside the patient's mouth and can be mounted on a practitioner's loupe or lamp. That camera also has a "no-tools" connection system and a removable cable.

Taub Products debuts new sealant
Taub Products has introduced its Kidz Seal-America pit-and-fissure sealant, designed with public health sealant programs, school-based programs, and pediatric dentistry in mind. It can be used in both dry and wet fields. The sealant is also tooth-integrating, low-viscosity, and self-adjusting.

Kerr launches new universal composite
Kerr has released a new universal composite called Harmonize. The product is a next-generation universal composite with adaptive response technology, according to the company. The product reflects and diffuses light similarly to human enamel and creates structural integrity for handling, aesthetics, and strength.
Rodo Medical gains FDA clearance for abutment system
Dental device company Rodo Medical has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its Rodo abutment system. The system will be available in the U.S. in early 2017. It uses the shape-memory Smileloc retentive sleeve and the memory material nitinol to create a new attachment between a restoration and implant.
Ultradent launches impression material
Ultradent Products has launched the Thermo° Clone vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) impression material, engineered to be temperature-sensitive with a long working time and a short setting time, according to the company. The VPS impression material is bubblegum-scented and has a high tear strength.
