Kulzer launches 3D printer
Kulzer has launched a new 3D printer for dental laboratories.
The cara Print 4.0 3D printer can print a wide range of polymer dental appliances, according to the company. The printer was designed exclusively for the dental market and works with stereolithography (STL) files.
The 3D printer features Digital Light Projection (DLP) technology for quick, accurate, and economical production of dental appliances, Kulzer noted. The printer also uses a simple refill system instead of cartridge system for further cost savings.
Cosmetic
Supersmile launches whitening system
Supersmile has launched its new whitening system.
The Supersmile Extra White system contains a toothpaste and an accelerator. The one-step system uses a proprietary formula of calcium peroxide and minerals that removes biofilm and stains from teeth and does not cause sensitivity issues, according to the company. It also contains magnesium, phosphates, and fluoride to remineralize and restore enamel, and it comes in a Triple Mint flavor.

Ultradent adds accessory posts to Unicore line
Ultradent Products has added accessory posts to the Unicore post line.
The posts can be used alongside master posts to fill voids in the root canal and strengthen the post and core unit. The accessory posts have a tapered shaft to minimize gap formation and help prevent shrinkage. Other features include high translucency and radiopacity.
Hygiene
Clip mirror debuts in U.S.
D.H. Essentials has introduced the dental hygiene Clip Mirror to the U.S. market.
The device features a small mirror that attaches securely to a saliva ejector via a clip, allowing a practitioner to see into a patient's mouth. The product eliminates the need to hold a mirror and a saliva ejector in separate hands during a procedure.
Midmark debuts ultrasonic cleaner
Midmark has debuted a new ultrasonic cleaner.
The QuickClean disperses water to ensure instruments are cleaned evenly regardless of where they are positioned in the tank. It washes instruments faster than traditional and manual cleaners.
The ultrasonic cleaner comes in five versions that fit both tabletop and recessed setups. The cleaner's tank sizes range from 1.2 gallons to 6.6 gallons.

Orascoptic launches new loupe
Orascoptic has released a new interchangeable magnification loupe system.
OmniOptic is a loupe that offers four magnification powers, ranging from 2.5x to 5.5x. The design of the loupe includes a magnetic anchor built into the carrier lens of the frame, so magnification can be changed without purchasing a new system.

Komet launches enamel stripping system
Komet USA has launched a new stripping system.
The DISCstance IPR system (kit 4671) is designed to simplify and quicken interproximal enamel reduction on adults before receiving treatment with braces or dental aligners. The system can be used for correcting mandibular tooth sizes disproportionate to those of the maxilla, eliminating crowding, and creating full-surface contact.
The system's disks are available in three sizes and include a diamond coating.
Practice management
Skygen debuts credentialing service
Skygen USA has debuted an online tool for dentists and dental payors to reduce time on filling out credentialing forms.
Through the Credentialing Service tool, dentists can store credentialing information, including license data and National Provider Identifier number, in an online, centralized database for free. The database then sends automatic email reminders for renewals and makes it easier to share information with payors.

Cosmedent adds to composite line
Cosmedent has launched a new composite.
Renamel Nano Plus is designed for easy placement, shaping, and sculpting, according to the company. It is indicated for class I to class V composite dental restorations, direct veneering of anterior teeth, splinting repair of composite or ceramic restorations, and anterior and posterior composite restorations. The composite is available in 17 shades in syringes and compules.
GoldenDent adds allograft line
GoldenDent has introduced a new allograft product line.
The GoldOss allograft product line includes a particulate and a putty form. The product is a cell-friendly grafting material that preserves native bone morphogenic proteins and helps maintain cell viability.
The process includes a low-dose, low-temperature sterilization step and multiple proprietary rinsing agents.
Solmetex debuts amalgam separator
Solmetex has introduced a new amalgam separator.
The NXT Hg5 amalgam separator is International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 11143-certified and comes with a recycling and compliance program that meets the latest U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. The separator accommodates up to 10 operatories, according to the company.
Young Dental adds fluoride varnish pen
Young Dental has introduced a new fluoride varnish product.
The Varnish Pen is an all-in-one varnish delivery system that contains a single dose of 5% sodium fluoride varnish made with xylitol. The no-mix varnish formula is delivered directly from the applicator to the teeth and comes in multiple flavors.
