South Texas College (STC) in McAllen is developing a dental hygiene associate program, which is being funded by a $1 million grant.
Also, the grant will create a workforce development and continuing education center for healthcare professionals. It aims to engage underrepresented groups in the McAllen and Rio Grande Valley areas. Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, the grant will last through June 30, 2027.
