A public ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house formally celebrated Washington's second dental school, the Delta Dental Equity Hall, which will be at Pacific Northwest University (PNWU) in Yakima.

The school will serve rural and other medically underserved communities that are contending with a shortage of oral healthcare professionals. Delta Dental Equity Hall will feature 30,000 sq. feet of classrooms, workspaces, and labs. Additionally, it will honor the history of dental health equity milestones and leaders, according to PNWU and Delta Dental of Washington.

Delta Dental of Washington committed $12 million to the school.
