ADAF, Dentsply Sirona create new research award

The ADA Foundation (ADAF) and Dentsply Sirona have created a new research award for dual dental (DDS/DMD) and doctoral (PhD) degree candidates.

The ADA Foundation Dentsply Sirona Research Award for Dual Degree Candidates will provide up to $10,000 in funding for one dual-degree candidate to pursue a career in research that advances public oral health.

The funding can be used for the following:

  • Develop a project.
  • Attend one or more scientific conferences.
  • Present research findings at a conference.

The winner is also required to attend the American Association for Dental Research's 2018 Student Competition for Advancing Dental Research and its Application.

Applications for the award will be accepted through November 3, 2017, on the ADAF website.
