W.Va. program teaches kids about dental profession

Middle school students in West Virginia recently spent a weekend learning about dentistry, courtesy of the Brush with Dentistry program at West Virginia University (WVU) School of Dentistry, according to a story by WBOY-TV.

The program welcomed 6th through 8th graders and their parents to the school, some of whom traveled for hours from across the state to take part in the program.

Students were involved in hands-on lab work, toured the campus, and talked with some of the school's staff.

The program was free, with meals and one night's stay provided by the Claude Worthington Benedum WVU Childhood Oral Health Project.
