Midmark to launch energy-efficient dental vacuum

Midmark will introduce a new, energy-saving dental vacuum, the PowerVac G, at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting next week.

The PowerVac G is the industry's first intelligent, energy-efficient dental vacuum, according to the company. Standard vacuum systems run at full speed all day, wasting energy and water and creating excessive noise and heat. The PowerVac G monitors vacuum demand and only provides the vacuum necessary, Midmark said. This results in energy savings of up to 83%, noise reduction as low as 48 dBA, and heat reduction of up to 30%.

In addition, the PowerVac G has a waterless design, saving dental practices up to 240,000 gallons of water a year, Midmark said.
