The top 5 CDOCS dental tips of 2024

In 2024, DrBicuspid.com and CDOCS began a partnership to help educate dentists and dental team members on the clinical side of the practice. Using short tutorial videos and advice from CDOCS faculty, these short lessons were a big hit with our readers last year.

As we enter into 2025, our partnership will continue and grow even stronger. However, before we move into the new year, let's take one last look at some of the most popular tips from 2024.

Perfecting the painless palatal injection

Ready to ensure your palatal injections are as painless as possible? Dr. Darin O'Bryan walked viewers through his tips on palatal injections.

Grafting and suturing techniques following an extraction

Dr. Doug Smail focused on improving your grafting and suturing game.

How to use a ghost dental implant for bridge planning

Dr. Smail returned in this article as he walked viewers through a case where a patient needed two fractured teeth removed with grafting that was also needed.

Better ways to prepolish zirconia in the dental practice

"The typical workflow with zirconia is that after we center it, we then polish the material before placing it in the patient's mouth. The issues that we can run into by doing it this way is that the scratches from the burr marks can be very difficult to remove. When the material is already centered and so hard, we also have the potential problem of causing a purling effect or getting an opalescence that we don't want in the zirconium material," Dr. Dan Butterman said as he walked clinicians through his advice.

How to take some of the frustration out of using a rubber dam

Dr. Diwakar Kinra shared a clinical tip that can help alleviate some of the frustration around using a rubber dam in your dental procedures.

Again, thanks to CDOCS for their partnership and willingness to share advice with their colleagues in 2024 and again this year.
