Do's and don'ts for scheduling

Schedules are based on time, and time is finite. There are only so many ways to maximize production in an eight-hour day. But there are ways, and those ways need to be understood by every practice. All lost production adds years to reaching financial independence.

Practice Success Do

Set annual production goals. Schedules should be based on setting an annual production goal. If your practice does not have an exact production goal every year, you are making the first and most fundamental mistake.

Practice Success Dont

Don't forget to block the schedule. Train the team to block the schedule based on procedures. We see many practices that have high-volume days and low-volume days and days that are all over the place. It's exhausting. Once again, smaller procedures that are lower production can crowd out the opportunity to schedule larger procedures.
