Dental software developer Dental Intelligence has acquired LocalMed, an online scheduling company for dental practices.
Dental Intelligence announced the acquisition in an email to stakeholders on August 1. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
LocalMed and Dental Intelligence will remain separate services, with unique sign-up and billing processes. The acquisition will help Dental Intelligence users schedule patients more likely to pay, with better insurance, or most in need of treatment, the company noted in the email.
Current Dental Intelligence users can receive an 80% discount on the LocalMed setup fee through August 31. In addition, those who sign up will receive the first three months of service for free.
