Do's and don'ts for community marketing: Know your neighborhood

Your dental practice is an integral part of the community. What are you doing to get more involved? Do you belong to any local organizations, coach youth sports teams, volunteer for service clubs, schools, or charities, etc.?

Do

Get involved and get known. There are many opportunities to support your local community, from sponsoring youth teams and school bands to volunteering at the food bank to providing oral health education to schools. By actively participating in your community, you strengthen your patients' relationship to your practice and make new connections with potential patients.

Don

Don't forget to mix it up. Sponsoring a Little League team is a good thing, but if you do that every year, consider supporting other activities, too. It doesn't always have to mean spending money either. Volunteering your time sends a positive message as well.
