The New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry plans to host a virtual symposium on October 2 that will address the topic of improving access to oral healthcare for people with disabilities.
The AHEAD symposium -- Achieving Health Equity Through Access for All With Disabilities -- will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Speakers will include Neil Romano of the National Council on Disability; Timothy Shriver of the Special Olympics; Anastasia Somoza of the Disability, Civil, and Human Rights Division office of the New York City Council; John Kemp of the Viscardi Center; Stanley Bergman of Henry Schein; and California Assembly Member David Chiu.
