The University of Florida has broken ground on a multiphase project to modernize the school’s college of dentistry, supported by an investment from the state.
The plan includes adding more than 100,000 sq ft of new teaching, research, and clinical space and upgrading the existing 11-story dental science building. The new addition will begin construction in August 2026 and is expected to open in August 2028.
The final phase will renovate the dental tower and upgrade systems such as electrical, roofing, safety, and security, with completion expected in 2030.
