Seven volunteers from DentaQuest will participate in the Virginia Dental Association Foundation's (VDAF) Wise Mission of Mercy event, a free dental care clinic for adults and children.
The event begins July 19 and runs through July 21 at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Wise, VA.
The event is being made possible through several supporters, including DentaQuest. DentaQuest is also donating snacks for all event volunteers and 2,000 goodie bags for patients, which include toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, and oral health educational materials.
VDAF's Wise Mission of Mercy dental program has provided more than $9.6 million in donated services and treatment through more than 13,500 patient visits since its pilot program in 2000. Through the event, the VDAF raises public awareness about the profound need for access to affordable dental services in Southwest Virginia.
