The Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation has awarded $300,000 to the Minnesota Oral Health Coalition to support the group's infrastructure and activities during the next three years.
The grant will be used to hire staff, which will focus on education and outreach about the benefits and potential cost savings of community water fluoridation, according to the foundation.
The coalition helped produce the state's first Oral Health Plan, whose goals include public health infrastructure, prevention, education, healthcare integration, access to oral care, and surveillance.
