Henry Schein has reported an increase in sales and revenues for the fourth quarter of 2018 and the year.
For the quarter (end-December 29, 2018), the company reported a net income of $133 million, an increase from a net loss of $8.5 million in the same quarter of 2017. Net sales for the quarter were $3.4 billion, an increase of 1.7% from the fourth quarter of 2017. Dental sales decreased by 0.2% to $1.7 billion, compared with the same period of 2017.
For the year, Henry Schein reported net sales of $13.2 billion, an increase of 5.9% from 2017. The company also reported a net income of $535.9 million, an increase of 31.9%.
