Patterson Companies has announced that it will acquire Animal Health International, a veterinary distribution company, for about $1.1 billion.
The acquisition will more than double the size of Patterson's veterinary business. Focusing on the dental and veterinary markets will allow the company to build scale and capabilities, Patterson said.
In the same press release, Patterson also announced it was exploring putting its medical rehabilitation business up for sale.
