Ortek Therapeutics announced that Shannon Nanne, RDH, has joined the company as director of professional relations for BasicBites.
BasicBites are sugar-free chocolate-flavored soft chews. The chew coats and nourishes tooth surfaces with ingredients naturally found in healthy saliva, according to the company. BasicBites contain patented AlkaGen Technology that helps support existing healthy pH levels on tooth surfaces and provides a mineral source.
Nanne, a dental hygienist since 1994, is also the executive director of the Global Oral Cancer Forum and an ambassador for the Oral Cancer Foundation. She lectures nationally and internationally on oral cancer, systemic diseases, xerostomia, and skin cancer awareness.
