3M Digital Oral Care has launched a new 3M True Definition scanner.
The next-generation system will be released this fall along with 3M True Definition scanner software version 5.0 that supports faster, easier scanning with superior accuracy, according to the company. Once the field is prepared, an adept user can scan a diagnostic arch in 60 seconds.
The system features a new wand that is designed to fit in the hand like a traditional dental handpiece, with a narrow, angled tip. Its slim, ergonomic profile allows for one-handed scanning, which will enhance the reach to posterior anatomy, 3M noted.
