Jeff Chaffin, DDS, MPH, MBA, MPA, has been appointed the dental director of Delta Dental of Iowa, the organization announced. Dr. Chaffin is the current president of the American Board of Dental Public Health. He succeeds Ed Schooley, DDS, MHA, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Most recently, Dr. Chaffin was the dental director for Wisconsin. He has served at various Army bases around the world and also served in roles in policy development with the U.S. Army Surgeon General and management of the Tricare dental program for the U.S. Department of Defense.
"Dr. Chaffin is an experienced leader, consultant, and teacher in all areas of dentistry with a specialty in dental public health, population health, prevention, policy development, and dental insurance," Jeff Russell, president and CEO for Delta Dental of Iowa, stated in a press release.
