Fla. dental Medicaid bill; Doniger on discount dentistry; Davis on impact of Ind. Medicaid case

Dear DrBicuspid Member,

The Florida House of Representatives has passed what could be yet another change to its pediatric dental Medicaid program. If passed, the bill would carve dental benefits out from the rest of Medicaid. But would it help patients or the companies that pay providers? Read Associate Editor Rob Goszkowski's article here.

In a Second Opinion column, Dr. Michael W. Davis analyzes the impact of the recent charges filed by the Indiana attorney general against principles and employees of a dental practice. Dr. Davis hopes this criminal case sets a template for future investigations and prosecutions of dental Medicaid fraud nationally. Read his thoughts here.

In her latest Sheri's Solutions, Dr. Sheri Doniger spells out her practice's strategy for patients seeking the best deal versus the best dentistry. For her, it starts with communicating with patients and showing them that their time is just as important to us as our time is to them. Read her column here.
