Cantel Medical reported a 12% increase in sales for the second fiscal quarter (end-January 31).
Among Cantel's products are advanced water purification equipment, sterilants, disinfectants and cleaners, sterility assurance monitoring products for hospitals and dental clinics, and disposable infection control products primarily for dental and gastrointestinal endoscopy markets.
Andrew Krakauer, Cantel's president and CEO, said in a statement that the results affirmed his company's strategic approach to growth.
"These positive results confirm the continued success of our strategic approach to growth, which includes investing in new product development, sales and marketing programs, and acquisitions," he said.
The Water Purification and Filtration unit of the company performed strongly, he said.
"The record sales in this segment were led by increased shipments of central and portable water purification equipment."
