Fluoridation good for adults too; a new kind of dental implant

A team of U.S. and Australian researchers used data on water fluoridation patterns in Australia and a survey of the nation's oral health to analyze the impact of fluoridation on the oral health of people of all ages.

Their findings, published in the Journal of Dental Research, may not put the water fluoridation debate to rest anytime soon, however.

In other Restoratives Community news, a new dental implant system that creates a fully customized replacement for a natural tooth that can be placed immediately after extraction is designed with general dentists in mind.
