Delta Dental offers oral health grants in Ariz.

The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation has kicked off its 2013 community grants program, which provides funding to organizations helping to improve the oral health of Arizonans.

Local organizations have until November 15 to apply for one-year grants ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 to support oral health promotion and dental disease prevention programs for children and youth through age 18, Delta Dental noted in a press release. This includes programs serving pregnant mothers specific to their oral hygiene.

In addition, the foundation will offer several workshops to help organizations write concise and compelling proposals for oral health programming.

The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation will consider grant requests from nonprofits, public schools, federally recognized Indian tribes and their component agencies, governmental entities, and faith-based organizations. Organizations with questions regarding the submission process should contact Megan Vrooman, program associate, at 602-588-3923.
