Calif.'s Center for Oral Health relocates

The Center for Oral Health (COH) will move its headquarters to Southern California after nearly 30 years in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The agency's new headquarters will be at the Western University of Health Sciences' campus in Pomona, which provides an opportunity to bring together expertise in education, advanced care, and research, to provide opportunities for oral healthcare innovation and improve access to care, the COH noted in a press release.

The affiliation with Western University will allow the organization to more efficiently respond to the needs of vulnerable populations in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas, and increase opportunities to build stronger strategic partnerships with academia and researchers to better advance California's oral health agenda, the agency explained.

In addition to operations in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, and Lake counties, the COH will continue to have a base in Northern California, including an office and staff to support the implementation of Alameda County's Healthy Teeth for Healthy Futures, the county's strategic plan for oral health.
