ADA alliance to collect care kits at ADA meeting

Dental professionals attending the ADA's annual session in Las Vegas, October 10-13, can donate care kits to two Las Vegas nonprofit organizations that are in alliance with the ADA.

The care kits contain a new hat, a pair of socks, and a toothbrush for clients of Opportunity Village, an organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities, and the Shade Tree, a shelter for women, children, and their pets.

Conference participants can donate a gallon-sized zip-top bag with a toothbrush, hat, and pair of socks for a person of a specific age range. Donors can also make a contribution of $10 or more to support the project.

"With more than 28,000 dental professionals registered to attend this year's ADA annual session, the Alliance of the ADA saw this as a perfect opportunity to solicit donations for those in need," stated Johanna Manasse, a member of the Alliance Membership Council, in a press release.
