Spartanics releases new dental products packaging machine

Spartanics has introduced the Spartanics carton laser cutting machine, a material handling system designed for use in dental product manufacturing and other carton packaging applications.

The laser cutting machine decreases costs of production in multiple ways: by totally eliminating tooling costs of traditional die cutting methods, reducing scrap material during job setup, and reducing job setup time and associated labor costs, according to the company.

The system's dual laser head design allows for cutting sheets up to 800 mm (31 inches) or greater, plus unlimited part size length and width up to 400 mm per scan head (16 inches) and accurate defect-free cutting of carton stock 0.75 mm (0.030 inches) or less, Spartanics noted.

In addition, it can work with both virgin or recycled materials and offers advanced scoring capabilities within parts that perform better in folder-gluer industrial packaging machinery than traditional die cut arts, according to the company.
