As we noted in part 1 of our series on dentistry's "dirty little secret," embezzlement in dental practices is shockingly commonplace and often involves long-time, trusted employees. Investigators estimate that at least 60% of dentists will be victims of fraud during their careers, often losing $100,000 or more over the course of several years.
