J&J sells OraPharma; NJ dentists question low-cost clinic

In Practice Management Community news, a group of dentists in Perth Amboy, NJ, say they are being driven out of business by a local clinic that receives significant subsidies from state and federal agencies. But the clinic says it is providing much-needed care to low-income populations who otherwise wouldn't receive it. Read more.

On the clinical front, patients who underwent continuous positive airway pressure treatment for sleep apnea saw a significant reduction in fatigue after only three weeks, according to a new study in Sleep.

Meanwhile, many head and neck cancer patients in the U.S. do not receive care that is in compliance with national guidelines, regardless of their insurance status, gender, ethnicity, referring provider, or disease site, according to a report in Archives of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
