Patient satisfaction survey tool helps small practices

Recognizing the need to serve practices with less than 20 doctors, a start-up named Report For Doc is offering a web-based survey tool that attempts to increase adoption of patient satisfaction surveys among small medical and dental practices.

The process is simple, the company explained in a press release: at the medical office, patients receive a survey invitation card. A unique code on each card provides access to an online pre-built questionnaire that asks patients to evaluate aspects such as the patient-doctor relationship, the medical staff and state of the facilities. Survey results are then released directly to the doctors subscribing to the service (they are not shared with the public).

According to Report For Doc, typical patients' response rates are between 10% and 20%. Collecting responses exclusively online and employing a standard questionnaire allows the service to be priced at $65 per month per doctor.
