Kellogg CEO supports oral healthcare reform

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation commends the U.S. Congress for its recognition of "the urgent need to comprehensively and substantially strengthen oral health care for our most vulnerable children," Sterling K. Speirn, president and CEO of the foundation, said in a statement today.

The Senate version of health reform represents a high water mark for oral health legislation, Speirn said, with more than two dozen important provisions aimed at improving oral health care.

"We are pleased that Congress is bringing oral health into the conversation to improve our nation's overall health. These issues have historically received broad bi-partisan support, and we look forward to continued progress," Speirn said.
