A Canadian man is suing the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and three dentists there who he says removed all of his teeth instead of just some of them, according to a story in the Winnipeg Sun.
In a lawsuit filed last week, Dick Gregory of Thompson alleges his dentist referred him to an oral surgeon in September 2008, with instructions that his upper teeth be removed.
Three days later at Health Sciences Centre, dentists gave him Novocaine and pulled his upper teeth. He was subsequently given a general anesthetic and, upon awakening, discovered that the defendants had extracted the rest of his teeth, according to the lawsuit.
"His lower teeth were in good condition, according to his dentist," Gregory's lawyer, Harvey Pollock, told the Winnipeg Sun. "Just visualize waking up as a healthy man in your 30s and all your teeth ... were removed."
