Midmark has introduced its newest sterilizer for the dental office, the Midmark M3 UltraFast automatic sterilizer.
The M3 was designed for use as a standalone sterilizer or a complementary sterilizer to the Midmark M9 and M11, the company said. The M3 sterilizes unwrapped instruments in six minutes and pouched instruments in just over 10 minutes. A low-temperature cycle also accommodates rubber or plastic items.

Other features include a fully automatic door that closes at the start of each cycle and opens at the end of each cycle, three preprogrammed cycles, onboard user guide, and built-in intelligence to sense low water reservoir and full condensate tank water levels. The water level sensors eliminate spillage from the condensate tank, helping to avoid any unnecessary mess or degradation of cabinet and floor surfaces, according to the company.
The M3 fits on a counter or in a steri-center. Several handpieces and instruments can be accommodated in one load, and the tray is large enough to hold a standard Hu-Friedy Signa-Stat cassette.
