ProDrive names new president, CEO

The board of directors of ProDrive Systems has appointed Richard St-Pierre as its new president and CEO. Previously advisor to the board and a senior executive at ProDrive for more than three years, St-Pierre brings extensive management and strategic experience to the company, ProDrive said.

"Since commercially launching our product three months ago, ProDrive has shifted from intense R&D mode to bringing an overwhelmingly successful product to market," said Derek M.J. Turner, D.D.S., founder and chairman of ProDrive, in a press release. "Richard plays a crucial role in managing our future and meeting our corporate objectives."

The patented ProDrive System for dentistry improves handpiece cut speed and provides smoother cutting and a superior cut accuracy when compared to the same handpiece with a traditional friction grip turbine, according to the company. Engineering tests demonstrate that Kavo, Midwest, and Star handpieces upgraded to the ProDrive System provide substantially improved performance and provide significant efficiency improvements to the dentist, the company stated.
