Dr. R. Lynn White, D.D.S., of Austin, TX, was named president of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) at the association's 90th Annual Meeting in Seattle.
Dr. White will represent AAOMS on government, civic, business, educational, and professional matters, and will continue support for clinical research and advocacy, according to an AAOMS press release.
He is a past president of the Texas and Southwest Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. White earned his dental degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
