OrthoAccel Technologies has named the charter members of its Key Opinion Leadership Group.
The group will provide feedback from orthodontists interacting with patients using AcceleDent, according to the company. AcceleDent is a removable appliance that a patient with braces wears in the mouth for 20 minutes per day to accelerate orthodontic tooth movement.
Charter members of the Key Opinion Leadership Group include the following:
- Cliff Alexander, DDS, who teaches courses on lingual applications in orthodontics. He is a member of several Texas dental associations and the American Association of Orthodontists.
- Jay Bowman, DMD, who practices in Michigan and teaches at Saint Louis University and Case Western Reserve University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
- Anil Idiculla, DMD, a faculty member at the University of Colorado and a diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontists.
- Robert Miller, DMD, an expert in orthopedic correctors, especially precision bracket placement, temporary anchorage devices, class II correctors, and treatment protocols for unique orthodontic appliances.
- Stephen Tracey, DDS, an expert in aesthetic orthodontic treatment and emerging orthodontic technologies such as cone-beam computed tomography, 3D custom appliance fabrications, soft-tissue laser applications, and miniscrew anchorage.
- Neil Warshawsky, DDS, who has extensive experience with cleft palate and craniofacial cases and is an associate professor at the University of Illinois Craniofacial Center.
