Triodent has expanded its product line with the Griptab veneer and crown delivery system, a restoration handling system for dentists doing multiple restorations, including crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.
The system includes the Griptab -- a tiny "handle" the user attaches to the restoration with a moisture-resistant adhesive -- plus Pin-Tweezers and a numbered tray that streamlines the process and prevents confusion, Triodent noted.
Using the system is a straightforward process, according to the company. Before the patient arrives, a staff member simply picks up the Griptabs with the Pin-Tweezers and attaches them to each veneer or crown using the special light-cured adhesive, then lays them one at a time in the tray. Once the patient is in the chair, the dentist proceeds as normal, but using the tweezers and Griptabs to handle the restorations.
Each restoration has its own Pin-Tweezers, providing a systematic process for sandblasting, etching, ultrasonic cleaning, silanation, shade matching, try-ins, and cementation. The tweezers ensure a secure hold and maximum maneuverability, minimizing the risk of dropping the restoration, according to Triodent. After cementation is complete, a flat-bladed instrument will lift the Griptab cleanly from the restoration.

Other features include:
- The system organizes up to eight restorations at a time.
- Restorations can be picked up and put down multiple times with no stick in the way.
- Adhesive comes off easily and cleanly at the end of the procedure.
- Adhesive changes color when fully light-cured.
The system comes in two versions: Premier, with stainless steel Pin-Tweezers, a light shield to prevent premature curing of cement, and a magnetized base tray; and Economy, with plastic Pin-Tweezers and no light shield.
