MD Brush has introduced a new ergonomically designed toothbrush specifically crafted to target the gingival sulcus.

The MD Brush guides the user's arm into the most effective position -- 45° to the gumline, the preferred method according to the ADA, the company noted. The ergonomic grip positions the patented W-cut tapered bristles into the correct angle to reach into and clean the sulcus, while simultaneously cleaning the tooth. The shaft of the toothbrush also features Smart Mark indicators, visual cues that indicate when the brush head is in the correct position.

Mike Smith, DDS, and Mike Davidson, RDH, BSDH, created MD Brush with the goal of providing the general public a toothbrush that proactively addresses the most common user errors, thereby preventing the onset of gum disease and, of course, cleans the mouth.

Consumers can log on to the company's website to purchase the toothbrush as a set of two for $22, or they can select a subscription plan, which automatically ships new toothbrushes and lets them know when it's time to replace their toothbrush.
