The grant will fund both research and community outreach projects, according to a press release from Georgetown University Medical Center.

The funding will allow a community-based assessment of 800 residents about their oral health needs, barriers, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors in medically and dentally underserved areas in Washington, DC.
