South Korea is about to revise the graphic warning images on cigarette packs to discourage people from smoking, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The country plans to change nine of the 12 current images in December and keep them for the next two years. The photos being changed show the increased risk for lung and oral cancer, heart disease, stroke, and early death, as well as the dangers of secondhand smoke and smoking during pregnancy.

The text on cigarette packs intended to discourage smoking will also be revised.
