DenMat has debuted Zen CP+, a desensitizing gel that alleviates tooth sensitivity and discomfort via nanosized calcium phosphate minerals delivered to the tooth surface. The minerals penetrate deep within the dentinal tubules and react with saliva, according to the company.
The gel is formulated with Caposal microsphere technology and features small particles of calcium phosphate that release calcium and phosphate ions for rapid mineralization. The minerals form within the dentinal tubules and are unaffected by wear and acid.
Zen CP+ does not contain any milk-derived proteins and is designed for daily use. The gel is available in 45-g tubes, and it's brushed onto the teeth as part of a daily oral care regimen, DenMat said.
Zen CP+ will be available to dental professionals via dental dealers and to consumers through dental offices in the U.S. and Canada.
