Convergent to use Solea laser for sleep treatments

Convergent Dental is planning this spring to debut a new use of its Solea laser to help reduce snoring.

Solea Sleep is a five-minute treatment that tightens tissues in the soft palate. The application can reduce vibrations that cause patients to snore, the company noted.

So far, Convergent has only provided a limited market release of the product. The company plans to fully launch Solea Sleep in May.
