Henry Schein, the National Dental Association (NDA), and the Schattner Foundation are seeking applicants for a mentorship program tailored to aspiring dental professionals.
The Student Mentoring with Immersive Learning and Enrichment (SMILE) Healthcare Pathway Program is a program that aims to provide mentorship, support, and foster inclusivity within the dental field. The program offers underrepresented high school students exposure to oral health career paths through a weeklong immersive experience, including mentorship, hands-on learning, career exploration, and a capstone project aimed at translating their insights into actionable steps.
The program takes place July 7-11 at the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. The application deadline is March 31.
