UCSF gets $500M to support health and dental schools

The Helen Diller Foundation has donated $500 million to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to support its four professional schools, including the School of Dentistry.

The donation is the largest single gift in UCSF's history. It will be used to create a $200 million endowment for faculty, a $200 million endowment for students, and $100 million Innovation Fund that can be used at the discretion of UCSF's chancellors.

The School of Dentistry's specific use of this donation had not been released at press time.
