Marshfield Clinic returns $10M grant

The Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin plans to return a $10 million state grant that was to help build a rural dental education facility.

The clinic received the grant in 2010, but clinic officials say the grant is no longer needed because the clinic has addressed rural training needs in other ways, according to an Associated Press story.

The clinic now plans to open 24 training centers in communities rather than in one building and create a residency for training dentists to be rural practitioners.
