The DentaQuest Foundation is partnering with the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University to promote interprofessional, team-based approaches to reduce oral health disparities across the life cycle.
The Technology, Instruction, Practice, and Service (TIPS) Program will contribute to the advancement of interprofessional oral health education and collaborative practice in primary care. The project, funded by an Innovation Fund for Oral Health grant from the DentaQuest Foundation, will be managed by Northeastern University.
TIPS is designed to demonstrate how a single interprofessional curriculum on oral health can be implemented across the education and training of nursing, pharmacy, and physician assistant students, providing a common understanding about interventions that can make a difference and a common language with which to connect with dental specialists.
