eHuman updates 3D Tooth Atlas

eHuman, a 3D interactive dental education software company, has released version 7.0 of its flagship product, the 3D Tooth Atlas.

Improvements to the software include new 3D models, faster loading times, increased compatibility, and functionality built upon a new platform. The new versio is also compatible with a greater variety of Web browsers, operating systems, and platforms than previously released versions. It also has a 3D stereo feature.

Another modification to the software is the added content to the neuroanatomical section, which now includes an anatomically detailed 3D model set on cranial nerves and the brainstem. The 3D model set allows users to trace the connections from the tooth nerves through the skull foramina to the brainstem. It can help educators demonstrate the normal neuroanatomical structures and functions of the nervous system, and provide students with the working knowledge of the brain and spinal cord and the significance of pathological changes in function, the company noted in a press release.

The software provides users with the ability to view 3D teeth that can be rotated, zoomed, and moved around the screen. The program also has the ability to show all dental anatomy, both internally and externally.
