Carestream partners with Canadian dental school

Third- and fourth-year University of Saskatchewan dental students have received $25,000 worth of oral health imaging technology through a partnership between the College of Dentistry and Carestream Dental Canada.

The new equipment -- a Carestream Dental CS 9300 cone-beam CT system -- will modernize the current dental imaging lab at the dental school's teaching clinic, almost entirely eliminating the need for traditional x-ray film processing and developing, according to the university.

Final calibration and testing of the new equipment is currently under way, and it is expected to be in full operation in the next few weeks.
